Evaporative Condensing Water (Cooling Tower)

Closed Systems

Water conditioning of closed loop systems has been proven to negate effects of corrosion to the point that a properly treated system should outlast the lifespan of the building. Current treatment methods utilize different corrosion inhibitors, each specific to system type (Temperature, metalurgy, operational conditions, etc.)

Cooling Water Biological Control

Ensuring that biological growth in any cooling water system is limited is the responsibility of any operator. Control to negate effects of growing bacterial, fungal, algal and slime will dramatically limit the possibiity of growth of pathogenic (harmful) organisms, namely legionella (L. pneumophila). Oxidizing and non-oxidizing biocides work to control growth of many different types of microbes, leading to limitation of possible health risks, optimization of heat transfer surfaces by inhibiting biological fouling of equipment and negating biologically induced corrosion (via Sulphur Reducing Bacteria)

Decorative Pool Biological Control 

Treatment of small and large decorative pools can limit algae and fungal growth, resulting in limited health risks and a clean, sanitary appearance. Treatments can range from simple to complex, depending on the biological loading and circulation characteristics of the pool. Operator training in proper dosage and residual maintenance will ensure that minimal levels to prevent growth are attained without damaging natural interaction with the pool. Defoamers are also available to control foaming due to vandalism. 

Low Pressure Steam Boiler Water Treatment

Correct treatment of steam boilers is imperitive to the safe operation of any operation requiring steam. Products are developed with optimization in mind to limit scale development through crystal modifiers and selective precipitation, disperse scale forming products so collection in low flow areas does not occur and negate effects of localized corrosion (pitting). Each treatment program is tailored for the specific operation of equipment in place. Treatments are coupled with the knowledge of a Water Treatment Specialist to ensure that during different modes of operation (active, standby, off, drained, etc.) the entirity of the system is protected from both corrosion and scale. 

Wastewater

Liquid-solid separtion is particular to each operation. Whether the process is simple settling, DAF, clarified of a complex multistage process, we are able to develop treatment schemes to optimize product use and produce a waste product to suit individual needs. Treatment products are selected on performance, ease of use, possible  discharge restrictions and limitation of interaction with the current process. 

Heat Exchanger Cleaning

With rising energy costs, optimization of equipment is becoming paramount. Specific products and equipment are available to flush and clean the water sides of heat exchange equipment which can increase the mechanical efficiency the overall process as well as extend equipment life by limiting fouling (which can lead to localized corrosion, even in stainless steel metalurgies).
